Kay Iversen is co-founder and CEO of Product Value Systems (PVS), which was established in 2006 to develop products and services that increase product management and product marketing performance in all industries. Investors include the High-Tech Gründerfonds, IBG and business angels.

Prior to the formation of PVS, Iversen was co-founder and CEO of VPIsystems, the market leader in photonic design automation and network planning tools. The company started as a winner of the McKinsey business plan competition in 1996 and quickly grew by acquiring 150 customers including  major communications equipment vendors like Cisco, Alcatel and Nortel and global providers such as AT&T, Deutsche Telekom and NTT.

Iversen began his professional career at the Heinrich Hertz Institute (now Fraunhofer Gesellschaft) were he build up a new  wireless communications group with industry partners including Sony and Philips. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. from RWTH Aachen and a Dr.-Ing from TU Ilmenau and received the first Thuringia research award for applied technology in 1995 .
