Dror Avni has over 25 years of international management and engineering experience in VLSI companies. Until mid-2005, Dror served as Executive Vice President and COO of Saifun semiconductors (NASDAQ: SFUN) since its early days in 1998. Between 2003-2004, Dror served in Infineon Flash in Dresden, Germany, a joint venture between Infineon and Saifun. Dror has been an entrepreneur for the last 18 months, working closely and consulting with Israeli start-ups and VCs.

 

Before joining Saifun, Dror served as an Engineering Manger for Ross Semiconductors in Israel. Prior to Ross, Dror worked for Intel Corporation for 15 years at the Haifa design center as a department manager in the center's local management staff.

 

In his long career in the VLSI world, Dror has worked for and collaborated with many multinational companies. He built a wealth of experience in operating with offshore outsourcing organizations and customers to efficiently deliver extremely price-sensitive commodity products to the market. He has worked with companies from Israel, Europe and the Asia-Pacific and United States in all aspects of design, manufacturing, testing, qualification and packaging.

 

Dror holds a BSEE from the Technion in Haifa (1981) and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University (1996).

 

Dror is 51 years old, married with three children.
