Dr. Oliver Diedrich, born in 1963, is responsible for Linux and Open Source in c't magazine and editor-in-chief of Heise Open, the online publication for open source in the enterprise. Since 1998, he has observed the rise of Linux from a hacker's toy to a platform for business-critical applications and the development of open source usage in the enterprise. Before starting his work for Heise Zeitschriften Verlag, he investigated the neurophysiological basis of emotions.
