A. Balakrishnan (Bala) has over 22 years of diverse experience in the IT industry. In Aztecsoft Ltd, he is the Sr. Vice President for Europe. Prior to this he was in charge of the Test Services Division in Aztecsoft. Before joining Aztecsoft, Bala was with Subex Systems, where he was responsible for setting up their US operations. Bala also worked with Wipro for eleven years in various functions including software development, software support, product management and sales & business development in the domestic and international market. His last assignment was to head the US East Coast operations for Wipro Systems and was based in New Jersey. Earlier to this, he also spent considerable time in the former USSR, selling CAD / CAM solutions and Sun workstations and training the dealer network there. Bala started his career with Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) as a software developer where he was involved in designing and developing applications for the Materials Management function. Bala holds a degree in mechanical engineering from KREC, Suratkal and a PGDIE from National Institute for Training in Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Bombay.
