As President of Wipro Systems (1992-1999), he won many awards: innovative business model from export promotion council, golden peacock award for quality, highest exporter award from STP, the world’s first software services company to achieve SEI CMM level 5, etc. He achieved growth rate in revenues and profits far ahead of the competitors and Wipro achieved No2 position in Software exports
He was Vice president Customer support (Wipro Info tech 1989-92), and General manager Modi Xerox (1985-89), Service Manager SICO (1970-1984). During this time he set new standards for service and the slogan in the market was "Modi Xerox" sets standards for others to Copy. He was very innovative in providing highest quality of service even under tough conditions for import of spare parts that prevailed at that time.
He holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from I.I.T (Chennai).
VC always has a lot of fascination for public speaking and reading books. Over the years he has built a library of his own that stocks philosophical, religious and historic books.
