Thomas Krüger is Founding Partner and Managing Director of Munich, Germany based AdAstra Erste Beteiligungs GmbH, a Venture Capital firm focussing on Pre-IPO financings for fast-growing companies in the TIME, Hi-Tech and Life Science industries. AdAstra, founded in 2000, is backed by HypoVereinsbank AG, Germany´s second largest bank, and has a committed capital in excess of € 100 mm.
Prior to that, Mr. Krüger has worked for HypoVereinsbank in various capacities since 1995, most recently as co-managing director of the bank’s private equity unit, HVB Beteiligungs GmbH. He was also instrumental in founding and developing HypoVereinsbank´s M&A activities, HVB Consult GmbH. In addition, he also temporarily served as Managing Director and Partner of Kappa IT Ventures, another HypoVereinsbank backed Venture Capital Firm.
Former responsibilities include M&A functions at Gleacher & Co., New York, a mergers and acquisitions boutique focusing on large US and cross-border transactions and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., New York, as well as Private Equity functions at Deutsche Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (“DBG/DBAG”), Stuttgart, Deutsche Bank’s private equity arm, and Relationship Management in Citibank´s Multinational Corporate Client Group.
Mr. Krüger is a member of the Board of Directors of adisoft AG, Karlsruhe, asknet AG, Karlsruhe, Friedrich Hämmerle GmbH & Co. KG, Reutlingen, and QBeo Inc, Seattle.
Mr. Krüger holds a degree in business administration from Berufsakademie Staatliche Studienakademie in Stuttgart, Germany.
