Founders of the Alpha Summit Europe

The Alpha Consortium is a pan-European group of organizations fostering technology entrepreneurship. Among others, the Alpha Consortium comprises the Cambridge Network (UK), Munich Network and The Entrepreneurial Group as founding members. Its goal is to establish a clear 5 year strategy to stimulate economic growth in the European Technopreneurial Community.

Innovation through technopreneurship in Europe is currently at a crossroads. There exists tremendous potential here for technological innovation and there is no shortage of entrepreneurial opportunities. However, the initiatives to address this from the highest levels of industry and government have been fragmented across Europe and are leaving many opportunities unrealised. In addition, there needs to be a fundamental change in mindset, which is simultaneously an obviously simple but inherent concept to put into practise.

We, the representatives of the European technopreneurial community, have decided to put into effect an initiative called the Alpha Initative that gathers the worlds entrepreneurial elite, industry executives, scientists, investors and students to address these shortcomings.
