Dr. Wolfgang Stoiber co-founded JSB Partners in 1999. He has significant international experience, both as a pharmaceutical industry executive and as an investment banker.
Following his medical school training and military service, Dr. Stoiber joined the medical marketing organization of F.Hoffmann-LaRoche in 1985. He moved on to a number of marketing assignments in Europe and the US before assuming general management positions overseeing Roche's Austrian and French pharmaceutical divisions.
Dr. Stoiber joined MPM Capital in 1997 to build the firm's transatlantic business. He initiated and managed a number of cross-border transactions involving both pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies (including the Bayer-Millennium alliance and the spinout of Atugen).
He advised the German development agency with its task of expanding the country's biotechnology industry.
He previously served on the Board of Directors of Therascope AG (now Alantos) and GPC Biotech AG.
Dr. Stoiber earned his medical degree at Ludwig-Maximilians-University and his MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
