Niels Emmerich studied Biology at the University of Tübingen and has worked with Hans-Georg Rammensee from 1996 to 2001. During his Ph.D. thesis he was dedicated to the studies of 20S and 26S proteasomes.
Niels Emmerich was Managing Director of immatics Biotechnologies together with Harpreet Singh from 2000 to 2001. Niels Emmerich worked with McKinsey & Co. consulting companies in the area of "Pharma & Healthcare" in 2002. Since February 2003, he has rejoined the team of immatics as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer.
