Dr. Walter Wenninger, Chairman Supervisory Board PAION AG.
Dr. Wenninger has been associated with PAION since July 2003 as a member of the Advisory Board of PAION Deutschland GmbH.
He has decades of experience in the pharmaceuticals industry. He joined Bayer group in 1968 and held various management positions in Germany, the United States and Europe within Bayer group. During the six years before he left Bayer group in 2000, Dr. Wenninger was a member of the Management Board of Bayer AG.
Besides his responsibilities at PAION, Dr. Wenninger is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Epidauros AG, a member of the Supervisory Board of VEMAG AG as well as Director of the Board at Arrow Therapeutics Ltd.
From 2000 to 2004, he had served as Chairman Supervisory Board of PULSION Medical Systems AG.
Furthermore, Dr. Wenninger is a member of the Management Boards of Robert Koch Stiftung and Deutsche Stiftung für Herzforschung and a member of the Board of Trustees and the Scientific Committee of the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum, Heidelberg, Germany.
Dr. Wenninger holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine and a business administration degree from Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich.
