Christoph Kaserer is full professor of financial management at Technische Universität München (TUM). Since 2002 he is head of the department for Financial Management and Capital Markets as well as co-director of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies (CEFS), a research center focused on entrepreneurial finance and established at TUM in 2003. After graduating in economics at the University of Vienna, Austria, Christoph Kaserer was appointed as a research assistant at the department of banking and finance at the University of Würzburg, Germany. In 1999 he became a full professor of financial management and accounting at Université de Fribourg, Switzerland.
His research focus is on empirical corporate finance, corporate governance, and financial intermediation. He has published his research in leading international and German academic journals. Moreover, he is the editor of the Zeitschrift für Bankrecht und Bankwirtschaft, a leading German academic journal in the field of finance and law. Christoph Kaserer is also active as an advisor of large private companies and public institutions. Specifically, he worked as a consultant for the German and the Swiss Government as well as for the EVCA.
